Throwback: Dawson’s Creek

July 12th, 2008 by Olivia

Okay, so apparently I missed LOTS of seasons according to this video. Jen was sick? Joey and Dawson got married? I used to watch this show with my mom. It’s amazing, I’d totally forgotten that this is where Katie Holmes came from! Now she’s a crazy Scientologist married to Hollywood’s most popular little person! And Michelle Williams! Heath Ledger’s love! Now what the hell happened to the rest of ‘em? They’re all still acting, but will probably still be called out on the street as Pacey or Dawson, right? So can someone fill me in on what the hell happened here?

Throwback

July 9th, 2008 by Rika

I’m back from a long weekend trip from Michigan where we visited my BF’s family. Watched the fireworks , rode the pontoon boats and swam in the lake, visited the eerie desolate city of Detroit, and ate some coney dogs. It’s just nice to get away from the hustle and bussle of cramped up NYC.

Since vintage is expensive in New York, I love checking out the vintage and salvation army stores when I am in other states. Pat took me to this weird thrift mall where little stores set shops in and outside of the building. We joked around about finding an Aaliyah tee. There were many vintage items, from records to lawn mowers but we came upon this awesome booth of airbrushed items galore and there it was…airbrushed Aaliyah to the fullest! Read more »

Do you remember this game???? OMG I used to be obsessed!! Yet I don’t think I have gone past the 3rd stage so I don’t even know what kind of burgers I get to make past that point. You can play it here and let me know what happens after the 3rd stage.

Throwback: Pogo Ball

June 11th, 2008 by Samantha

Did anyone else have one of these growing up? I totally opted for the Pogo Ball over the Cabbage Patch Kid. My friends called me crazy. While they were off cradling their fat faced little dolls I was tearing up the streets on my Pogo Ball. I was bad ass on that thing. My Pogo Ball was black and Silver. No neon for me, I went for the space age look. I specifically remember bouncing along in front of my apartment building and busting my ass pretty bad one time. I wasn’t so cool anymore when I had to wear a huge band aid on my chin to school for the next week or so. But it was a battle wound and you don’t get those from playing Cabbage Patch mommy.

Rudy Huxtable: Style icon

May 13th, 2008 by Sarah Morrison

My mom dressed me in the elementary school days. She was fairly versed in children’s fashion. The images of said clothes on small blonde blue-eyed delicate children in catalogs never sorta worked out quite as well on um her brownish awkward me. She continued to dress me in god knows what for quite some time.

Then around third grade fashion came to me in icon form. There she was. She was brilliant. She was flawless. Everything she said was hilarious. Everything she did was adorable.

Her name was Rudy Huxtable.
