I went over the appropriate text to send to send to Mike in my head, then out loud to Olivia, then out loud to Mary, then to both of them, and then finally out loud to myself for three days straight. The regular “Sarah-Morrison-bitchy-sarcastic-I-am-obviously-smarter-than-you-tone” didn’t seem appropriate. I settled with confused and oblivious.
