Who are we?

Some girl came up to us and asked to take our photo at this Backyard Couture thang at Harriet’s Alter Ego, Saturday. We both kinda moaned and whined. Then got into what seemed like the 19791408 posed photo of the afternoon. The girl taking our photo goes, “Can I get your guys’ names?” I point out Rose and me, accordingly. She hands us her business cards and mumbles “Oh, I know who you guys are.”

I still don’t get why she asked our names.

But, we felt really cool.

Is Death The New Black?

First of all, I want to say that I looove Amy Winehouse and I looove Courtney Love. That’s why it saddens me so much to see these pictures. And I don’t mean sad as in “Oh look at the Olsen Twins looking anorexic and retarded at some fashion show” No, this is SAD sad. Like I actually feel sorry for them.

Right now all I want to do is go to their houses, pour them some tea, pat them in their heads and be all mom-like saying “Don’t worry, everything is going to be OK”.  Except I’d be totally lying because both of them need to be institutionalized for being pathological crackheads. If we were in the 50’s they’d be getting electroshock treatment for sure. Sylvia Plath style.

Now Wino has emphysema, which means she’ll probably die soon if she doesn’t lay off the crack pipe and Courtney Love already looks like she just walked away from her own coffin. Again. I know that as internet people there’s not much that we can do, but if you actually had the power, how would you use it?
