Today, Sunday October 12th marks the first annual WORLD PIZZA EATING CHAMPIONSHIP in Times Square! Kobayashi will be there, dipping pies in water like a cheater, along with champions from hot dog/burger/burrito/kielbasa comps. From 10am-1pm at Military Island, 43rd St and 7th Ave. The prize is $14,000! Sarah and I are hosting a similar competition in our apartment only it will involve only us and lots of herbal assistance. I bet that’s the secret…just starve all day and get REALLY stoned and then open a pizza box. Oh god. I’m sooo ready.

I am an ebay fanatic, also a Weeds and weed fanatic, now for a bunch of money, you can get a walk-on role on Weeds! You also get lunch with Shane Botwin…isn’t that the little one? That’s weird. Anyway, it benefits St Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital. Not that any of us can afford it, but kinda cool.

I have been doing it since 2005 apparently, which makes me wonder if I have lost my mind. I want to do a scientific study to prove every stripper, I mean exotic dancer, loves Benny Benassi. The above video reminded me of this. I just wrote it on my “goals” sheet as per the suggestion of an old friend. It’s right under teach Fungi to go to the bodega for red bull on my lifetime goals column.

Legendary photographer, Cheyco Leidmann, just sent me this youtube video promoting his new book Toxitt. It’s already out in Europe, but won’t be in the states for a little while. I’ve been collecting his books forever — the ones from the 80s sell for a lot of cash on ebay — and each one is totally unique. I’ve seen some images from Toxitt and I can’t wait!

I went to a Pickle Making Class last night at the Whole Foods Culinary Center last night. No one believed me. I think Lesley thought I was just trying to leave early and Sarah thought I was doing something weirder and using pickle-making as a cover? It was taught by this kinda dreamy guy, Bob McClure of McClure’s pickles. People (Sally) don’t realize how dangerous home canning can be, you can kill/paralyze ALL your friends/family with botulism. We made pickled carrots and I made dreamy eyes at teacher dearest. Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that putting cucumbers in pickle juice is NOT how you make pickles. So take a class or use a recipe or you know, just buy them yourself.
