- Gimmie grits. "OMG Yasi, you asked the right Missbehaver. I used to live in ATL and actually just went back for Thanksgiving. So of course I can tell you where shit’s poppin off. Eating: Village Pizza (delicious pizza served by really nice people in a really pretty pizzeria) Little 5 Pizza (awesome pizza served by angst-ridden hipsters. If you don’t tip, they’ll probably hate you or kill you. If you go, don’t forget to write something on the bathroom wall. You just have to.) El Mexicano (authentic Mexican made by authentic Mexicans. They’re open till 2 am and usually have telanovelas on) Top Flr (kinda pricey but delicious – get the chicken—and the restaurant is really pretty) The Majestic (old school diner with beyond the beyond good omelets and hash browns) Shopping: Rag-O-Rama (secondhand store where you can find anything from Marc Jacobs for 14.00 to French Connection for 12.00 to some obscure 80s brand for 5.00) Stefan’s Vintage (awesome, sorta pricey vintage store that has everything. Por serio. You can even buy vintage aprons there. Who doesn’t need a vintage apron?!) Criminal Records (these people are awesome and know sooo much about music. plus they’re nice and you can buy a lot of amazing and rare music.) Full Moon Records (made for people who love old music. The prices are great too, because I once bought a Level 42 album there for 4.00) Then there’s Atlantic Station which has HM and Old Navy and whatnot. Drinking: Lenny’s (always has a show going on, but the door people are bitches) The Star Bar (plays a lot of local acts and usually has PBR galore) Noni’s Bar and Deli (those people are so nice. When I went not only did they pour me a beer, but they didn’t put it on the tab!) Smith’s Olde Bar (has local acts and indie acts and a cool atmosphere) 10 High (badass.) Stripping: The Clairmont Lounge (old strippers past their exp date. Scary but fucking hilario.) The Pink Pony (pretty famous round those parts, but be careful cause people can get rowdy) Folly’s (I’ve never been there but I’ve heard the girls there survive on crack, which sounds like a good time to me!) Entertainment The Plaza Theatre always has good movies and it’s in a really cute area Suburban Lanes is cool because if you go late, you can just bowl in whatever shoes you’re wearing and they don’t care Piedmont Park is cool, if you like parks Atlanta Botanical Gardens is a cheap way to have some fun and see some cool flowers. Except be careful near the little pool because I definitely sat in it. Fox Theatre shows some nice ballets, if you have that kinda time. But take a picture in front of it anyways, because it’s the prettiest building in the city, I think. Have fun girl! Atlanta is not so bad if you look really deep for fun shit!"
