It’s Time to Party!

I’m already stressing over what to wear for New Years tonight, even though I fully intend on grabbing some bottles of Andre (thanks Sarah Mo for introducing us) and sitting at a friends house with boys I’ve known (and kissed) since I was sixteen. I find it REALLY important to listen to music while getting ready…when it’s a date I listen to emo but when I know I’m getting wasted, I listen to dance party music. Ruby Is Like TV’s Chick Flick!

Has anyone watched Ruby? It’s this show about this lady named Ruby in Savannah, GA, who weighs over 400 pounds and is trying to lose weight. At first I was like “eh” because it seemed boring and chock full of GA Southern accents. But in a time of weakness, I watched it and it’s awesome! Ruby’s so sweet and inspiring and she always says, “I’m essited!” instead of “excited.” She has a gay/maybe gay roommate named Jeff who says “Fatty, hush” in the funniest way and she even runs a big girl’s group that gets together and it’s all totally empowering! Sure, I may have been eating pie while watching it, but I didn’t even feel like a greedy food monster! Ruby is totally a show you have to watch with your girlfriends, and it’s better than a chick flick because it comes on everyday!

I got you Ruby girl! You are that chick flick Hollywood forgot to make!

Snow Day!

I’m officially it calling it a snow day! Be back at 5 pm with a full report on my first snowboarding excursion of the season. I’ll be at Mountain Creek if you need me. And thanks again Burton for keeping me fully laced. S.W.A.K!

Have Time Warner? Fuck You!

Time Warner is my internet provider(I do not have television) and has continually drove me nuts over the past two and half years. I have been on the phone with them for two hours, paid them $200 in what they claimed were “unpaid bills” only to find out my area was having a “blackout” and said unpaid bills were lies. I’ve had over 5 internet blackouts over my time with them. Blackouts can last as long as four days, I make my life on the internet - even with a blackberry, that long sans internet is not doable.

Having Time Warner as a provider is stressful enough.

Today I found out TW is planning on cutting MTV, VH1, Comedy Central and more starting tomorrow. This will include internet broadcasts from these stations. I don’t know about hulu, hopefully not - I need my Daily Show.

Knowing Time Warner - I’m probably powerless in this situation(I have complained A LOT about internet blackouts, it means nothing).

Well, I guess I have to start researching the switchover to a better provider(Bushwick babes get at me!).

Haensel Und Gretel

I recently found the German 2006 version of Hansel and Gretel. It’s absolutely adorable(although not as nuts as Junko Mizunos) and beautifully shot. It was so sweet and it totally almost made me cry. I say everyone watches this movie tonight to balance out todays negativity.
