Read, don’t read. I don’t really care. If you have been fake sleeping for the past three weeks gagging and mumbling about this films obvious demise, one point to you. It is like a Judd Apatow meets Big Trouble in Little China, but an hour too long.
I should review more movies. I should watch more movies.
Dude, I really liked it. The only thing that bothered me was the whole legalizing pot subtext. I also liked imagining that James Franco really is like Saul. But it was pretty solid.

GAWD I had high (har) hopes for this movie. I wanted a pure weedhead caper but then it turns into some munitions-porn fiasco.
I thought I was salty cause I was sober but the more I think about, the angrier I would’ve been had I been weeded because it just didn’t end up being the movie I felt like seeing.
That said, I basically had impossible expectations and some were actually met. All the performances were AWESOME. Seth Rogen and James Franco together again was SO SATISFYING especially since it’s such a different dynamic from the one they had in Freaks and Geeks. Danny McBride is a fucking genius. Gary Cole, Craig Robinson, homie from that one TV show Grounded for Life, all BOMB.
I just really wanted more pot. Like way more pot. Like Kumar dancing with a big ass bag to Heart’s Crazy on You more pot.
The movie was the shit to me….and for a person who’s not even a stoner(anymore), I decided to see it with some herbal help. The beginning is what made my trip TRIPPY. The whole 3d animation THX clip bugged me out!! The whole theatre was actually going insane!
The movie had me clapping my hands and rooting for the characters as they would do stuff a stoner could relate to. I smoked weed for this movie…I definitely don’t regret it. 8.5-10.
