Child Stars Grow Up…Why?

Curly Sue was one of my favorite movies when I was little. For years, I’ve been wondering what happened to that actress…but I didn’t care quite enough to actually Google it. I guess her name is Alisan Porter and she was on Undressed and now she’s in um…Ten Commandments: The Musical? Who’s your favorite child actor? And where are they now? Don’t worry, it’ll be fun…just pretend you’re on VH1.
My favorite child actor was Tootie on Facts Of Life. She was just so ridiculously dramatic and she pretty much revolutionized the mushroom cut. Plus she uncovered hidden racist undertones at that boarding school and was like Tito’s only fan. I think we all know where she is now, on Living Single and such. Awww, why can’t my fave child star be drug addled and down and out! Boo. Mine’s lame.

Keisha and I share the same birthday (April 9th), and I grew up loving her in the made for tv movie “Polly”…still have it on VHS and still know every line off by heart….yeah it was just that serious…
She’s two years older than me, and we went to the same college (I swear i didn’t know when I applied)…I saw her around campus a couple of times, but never made a big deal about it….last I heard she was in a Chingy video (sooo sad) and hosting one of those “where are they now” type shows…

my friend fukin luvs that movie and i was so mad wen i was forced to watch it with her at her house. she grew up pretty tho at least, was she on undresses as in undressed the show that was on mtv for 35 seconds and it was pure soft core porn with acting??? i fukin luv that show!!!!

one time I rented curly sue but then like halfway through the movie my parents shut it off because they thought it was inappropriate for me since she was learning how to cheat and steal and stuff hahaha
when i was little i wanted to be the girl from matilda. or, like, matilda, i guess. i just googled the girl that played her (she was also in mrs. doubtfire and miracle on 34th street) and i guess she goes to NYU now and is a theater major. hm, i suppose mine’s boring too.
