All Hail The Lipstick Queen

About a week ago I was introduced to a new brand called Lipstick Queen. The Founder is a lady from Australia named Poppy and she’s fabulous. As legend has it the Lipstick Queen was only a mere teen when she founded her namesake beauty line Poppy Industries. Disgusted by all the frosted pink that was going on in the 80’s she decided to take matters into her own hands. She found a local chemist that would make her some matte red lipstick and faster than you can say “Kiss Me” Poppy was an overnight sensation! Then things got out of hand. It was over licenced and before you know it Poppy had her name on everything and was taken advantage of by Corporate Australia. Fast forward to now. Lipstick Queen is going back to her roots and doing just that. Solomente Lipstick! Hard Core Gloss is insanity. It’s a must have. And her Saints and Sinners are genius. The same colors, Saints are tint and Sinners are opaque….OMFG. Poppy you so crazay! Oh, and pick up her book Lessons of A Lipstick Queen. It’s all the stuff she’s learned in this crazy journey called life…not just for Beauty Industry peeps but a life lesson for all chicks. Right on Popster!
Poppy’s story is incredible. I love the Shine in Red Sinner!!! I am wearing it right now. Seriously. Plus, the packaging is insanely detailed and fun.

i want to hear more customer reviews before i drop 22 bucks (ordering online) on a lipgloss i have never tried though (not that I won’t)

Um I kinda stole the “rouge” sinners one from Sam’s desk and I love it. Definitely my new favorite!
Oh and I want the whole Oxymoron line! Deafening silence, Honest politician…genius.

I’m not a lipstick kinda girl at ALL, and I love it a lot! Really, it’s true, her lipsticks can look good on anybody. Her Saints are my favorite, I highly recommend investing in it! And Sinners are great because with lip balm, you can turn them into Saints! Surriously, I love this stuff.
thanks girrrrl! i am not usually a lipstick type girl either…i have huge lips and i end up looking like a clown any time i try a bold color…i usually just stick to gloss

Shine gloss is the shit.. its so hard to find in Australia now but used to be everywhere, she was the unchallenged queen of lips for aaaages then she went off to conquer the rest of the world. She used to
make the best red red red matte but-not-matte lipstick, but I stopped being able to find it. Now I know what her new shit is called yay!
I know Lucylou! I used to wear Shine all the time, and then one day…gone! When I saw the little pot of gloss up above, all the memories of my early teenage years came flooding back.
Lipstick Queen is the best stuff out there.
Warning…once you get you’ll be an addict.
i’m so stoked…i kind of pussed out and ordered the clear Shine and Saint in Nude but since I’m ordering online I figured those were safe picks and good ways to test out the brand.
