Best Girly Jam?

When I’m laying out the magazine, I love to blast embarrassingly girly jams late at night. Some of the ones in heavy rotation are Paula Abdul’s “Rush Rush” and Lisa Loeb’s “Stay.” Some other good standbys are Des’ree’s “Kissing You” from the Romeo + Juliet soundtrack and anything by Sade. This issue I’ve added some more modern hits to my play list. Which is your favorite? Is there any that I’ve missed?

    this is sort of sad/embarrassing, but i usually rock “kiss me” by sixpence none the richer pretty hard. i do love “unwritten”, until they used it for the hills theme song.

    also, if you haven’t listened to that Stefanie Heinzmann song “My Man is a Mean Man” it is definitely a good girl jam.

    anything by alicia keys does it for me, plus vintage nelly furtado before she turned all whore-ish. regina speltor - fidelity, it’s one of the ones where you can’t help pretending to star in the music video.
