Rock of Love

So Sarah is marrying Steve Aoki, and Olivia is totes jelz of her and her job, and i believe that’s why she blogs all day or on her little time left from writing 85% of our mag. Moi, on the other hand, am tres jealouse of both of them and their glamorous lifestyles, so I’m going to try and make myself look a bit  more interesting.

Of course when I say interesting I mean uber-pathetic. At least that’s how I feel when I remember my “groupie” days in Seattle, when my girls and I used to make friends with every single band that was in town, then go backstage, drink all their alcohol and party with them (in the least sleazy way imaginable. Contrary to the popular belief, I am too shy to be a total HO. Thanks).

It was all fun and games, until some douchebag broke my heart (*not pictured) and all those bands got super famous and started playing the Madison Square Garden and dating super models and sucking really bad.

I guess back then, we saw it as a fun alternative to house parties or going to the Cha Cha? Still, what the hell was I on to do such things? (Oh yea drugz) Am I going to think the same way in the future when I look back to my New York days and the retarded openings and parties where everyone pretends to have a good time? Or is it just going to get worse and worse from now on?

Ok I’m starting to sound like an ESL character from Sex and the City… which is really…not good. One last question though. Do you guys ever look back and cringe-induce yourselves? If so please do share.

With out a doubt. Uh, sometimes I look back a month ago and find myself closing my eyes and scrunching my nose, sometimes wine isn’t such a good thang.

I kind of sort of miss Seattle.

Who’s that dreamy guy you’re talking to? I cringe at much of my wasted youth spent not talking to people I liked and not pursuing things I was interested. Now I cringe most days because I basically live in my bed. Which, by the way, is the most comfortable bed in the world. If you don’t already have a memory foam mattress topper, get one at overstock.com.

What makes me cringe? I used to steal a lot.

Well… Once, I mugged somebody. NOW, I feel terrible about it because I’m all law-abiding now but back in the day (2 days ago), I would be out of my mind doing crazy stuff like that. Oh, I also stole a bike. Actually, no, I didn’t. I just clipped the chain and rode the bike around for like half and hour and put it back. Then, I just sat on a nearby bench as I watched the guy come out of the building looking all confused as to what had happened to his chain. He was stunned, he was all looking around and being confused.

That’s just life, you know? Mugging people and stealing bikes.
